Allison graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York in 2003 with a degree in Communications and a minor in Criminal Justice. She received her teaching degree in 2007 from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. She has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and is Orton-Gillingham trained. Allison is originally from Denver, Colorado, and is a huge Denver Broncos fan. Allison taught 4 th grade and 3 rd grade for ten years in the Denver Public School system. She and her husband along with their two boys moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2018. Allison taught kindergarten for two years at First Presbyterian Preschool prior to coming on board at MGCS. In her free time, she enjoys working out, watching her boys play baseball, reading and spending time with family and friends.
