Health and Medical Information
The MGCS School Nurse is available to assist with medical issues as they arise during the school day. She administers all daily scheduled medications as well as dispenses other “as-needed medications” on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, the nurse creates individual health care plans (IHPs) for all students attending school with illnesses that could potentially impact the student’s learning while at school. This includes but is not limited to, students with Type 1 diabetes, epilepsy, severe food allergies, and asthma.
The majority of health tracking for each student is tracked and managed through Magnus Health Portal. Every student needs to have updated information annually. Please log into your FACTS Family Portal and click on the Medical tab to make updates.
All parents should update their student’s medical record each year before the 1st of August. Log into the FACTS Family portal to access your student’s “To Do List” under their Medical section. You will be directed to our Magnus Health System to enter and update your student’s information.
Parents of students with allergies/asthma should complete the Allergy Action Plan form and alert the student’s homeroom teacher of such conditions. After completing this form, parents can upload it to the Magnus Health Portal in the FACTS Family Portal.
