Laura Tingelstad, a Maryland native, graduated from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) with a BA in Communications/Journalism and a minor in English. She has taught Pre-K through 8th grade but has discovered her heart belongs with middle school Language Arts/English students where she celebrates young minds flourishing in reading, writing, and deepening their spiritual journey. In her spare time, Laura can be found laughing with her two children, Anna and Josh, her husband, David, and their rescue pup, Sadie. She enjoys the natural beauty of the coast, live music, experimenting in the kitchen, devouring books, and serving the youth at Pine Valley United Methodist Church. Laura feels incredibly blessed to be part of the MGCS community.
