Your Path to Joining MGCS
Our admissions process is designed to be informative and personalized, ensuring a smooth journey for families seeking a Christian education that fosters both spiritual and academic growth. Here’s what you can expect:
Step 1: Complete the Online Application
Begin your journey by submitting the online application.
Step 2: Admissions Testing and Assessment
Students applying for Full Day Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten through 8th grade will need to schedule and complete an admissions test or assessment. After submitting an application, rising Full Day Transitional Kindergarten through 1st grade applicants will be contacted by a proctor to schedule their admissions assessment; rising 2nd-8th grade applicants will receive an email to register for one of our scheduled admissions testing dates.
Step 3: Shadow Day- School Visit
Following an initial application review and their admissions testing or assessments, rising Kindergarten through 8th grade students will be invited to visit our school for a Shadow Day of observation in academic and social settings.
Step 4: Final Application Review
Once all steps in the application process have been completed, the MGCS Admissions Team will carefully review all application materials, including test results, academic records, Shadow Day feedback, and personal references to determine if an enrollment offer will be made.
Admission Outcome
Admission decisions are made based on a holistic review. The student application will be evaluated for admission based on previous school records to include grades, testing, attendance and behavior. Recommendation letters, parent cooperation with the school, student/parent interviews, current class dynamics and student classroom visits are also part of the evaluation process.
Waiting Pool
When Spaces Are Limited: If an applicant meets the admission requirements for enrollment to a grade that is full, the applicant will be placed in a waiting pool. Unlike a waiting list, a waiting pool does not imply a “first-come, first-served” basis for enrollment. Students in the wait pool will be selected for consideration based on best fits for the grade level and various criteria.
Re-Enrollment and Sibling Priority Consideration
Re-Enrollment
Currently enrolled students are given priority for re-enrollment, provided that they are in good academic and behavioral standing and all tuition and account balances are up to date. Re-enrollment steps must be submitted by the priority deadline.
Sibling Priority Consideration
Siblings of currently enrolled students may also receive priority enrollment consideration, as space allows, within the priority enrollment period.
Welcoming All in Faith
