Hannah Ivey graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Social Studies, and a concentration in History. She spent her first years in education teaching in New Hanover County Schools and at Charlotte Latin. Returning to Wilmington with three children who also attended MGCS, Hannah was asked to lead the middle school as its principal. She completed her M.Ed. at UNCW in 2008. Her greatest passion in the classroom is for her students to grow in their understanding of God’s hand throughout history, its application to their world today, and His love for the “sheep of His pastures”, most particularly, middle school students. Hannah currently serves as Principal of Student Growth and Development, overseeing primarily student relationships, discipline, counseling, and academic support needs for all lower and upper school students.
