Funding Factory Donations Make a Big Difference
Last year, we began to partner with Funding Factory, a company that recycles toners, cell phones, and small electronics. We collected nearly 1,800 pounds of recyclable materials and raised $1433! With that money, we were able to purchase items to enhance our school’s technology program.
Since we have had such tremendous support for the recycling drive, Funding Factory has asked us to participate in their pilot program to recycle empty deodorant containers as well. Why deodorant containers? Up to now, these containers have not been able to be processed for recycling, so they end up in landfills. By partnering with Unilever, Funding Factory will be able to recycle and reclaim these materials, enabling them to be reused in other ways. We are pleased to be asked to participate in this program, as we are always eager for new ways to be good stewards of what God has given us.
From now until December 31, 2013, we’ll be collecting empty deodorant containers of any type or brand (except aerosol cans) in the box outside of the library in the main office. For every pound we collect, we will earn $1. Just like BoxTops, each item makes a big difference. Thank you for all the items you have brought in so far. We are looking forward to another great year!
