This alternative classroom environment provides students individualized academic instruction through a biblically permeated framework using creative approaches while keeping students engaged in the greater MGCS community throughout the school day.
We do this by:
- Providing access to individualized and small group instruction in reading, language arts, and math while the student completes other core subjects in the traditional classroom.
- Equipping students to achieve the MGCS Expected Student Outcomes with all instruction offered within the MGCS school environment.
Services Provided
The Timothy Center operates in partnership with our students’ parents and MGCS with the aim to help students reach their full academic potential by recognizing their unique gifts and talents. With this in mind, we offer an onsite partnership and a structured environment to equip the students with strategies and skills to provide them with the best opportunity to reach their potential pointing them to academic independence.
Offering three instructional hours per day focusing on reading, language arts, and math with a low teacher-student ratio, the Timothy Center instructors deliver core instruction working collaboratively with the student’s other teachers to adapt and make accommodations to content used in the traditional classroom. Student progress will be regularly monitored for academic growth and skill acquisition. If a student achieves sufficient progress, reintegration into a traditional classroom could occur.
Tuition
2021-22 tuition for the Timothy Center is $8,500 per school year plus regular MGCS tuition at a 30% discount. The Timothy Center instructors deliver core instruction and work collaboratively with the students’ other teachers to adapt, modify, and make accommodations in all subjects per the student’s learning differences.
